Displays when Total Fire Ban in force
Woodend Tanker and crew have joined Long Haul Strike Team 0215 when called this afternoon to the large fire burning at Euroa. They were joined by Romsey FCV and tankers from Romsey, Bolinda and Mt Macedon. The crew included Steve Rumble (2), Paddy Callaghan (2), Ned Brooke, Tim Duff (2) and Tom Kimber. Those with a (2) next to their name indicates that this is their second Strike Team duty this summer. That brings that total number of Woodend volunteers on Strike Team duty to 19 this summer … and still counting. Even though we are lucky not to have any major fires in the Macedon Ranges (so far), Macedon Ranges CFA volunteers have made a major contribution to fire fights around the Australia.
AN UPDATE ON DAVE MUIR who is on the Strike Team with the crews from America. He is currently in Traralgon and was deployed to go into Swift’s Creek before being pulled out.
