We were well represented in the rally in the city yesterday. Below are Brad Dean’s comments:

It was a great feeling at the rally – a very large crowd (apparently up around three thousand) many of whom had rarely if ever been to a public rally like this before. After a number of speeches by the VFBV organisers we were then spoken to by the Prime Minister and also Matthew Guy. Their speeches were passionate and both promised to do what they could to protect the CFA and it’s volunteers from the actions of the UFU. Other agencies were also represented in the rally to support the CFA volunteers, and many cars sounded their horns in support as the rally walked up to the steps of Parliament House for final photos, chants and speeches. A pretty amazing turn out for a couple of days of organisation.
