Displays when Total Fire Ban in force
Just after noon yesterday Woodend Tanker 1 was called to the Clarkefield fire as part of Strike Team 0224. Soon after arrival Woodend Lt Rob Marsh was placed in charge of one of the fire sectors involving multiple trucks. It was difficult terrain with much of the initial attack undertaken by helicopters. Around 1.30 Woodend Rehab was called to look after the welfare of the many fire fighters who were now working on the fire. Around 6pm replacement crews were organised for both Woodend T1 and Rehab, with all returning back to station arounds 9pm. Great work by all crews, and it shows the fire season is now certain ly with us.
