Displays when Total Fire Ban in force
The Woodend CFA recently held their Annual Dinner & Presentation Night. Many local businesses kindly donated raffle prizes, including this fantastic cake from Sharon at Blackbird Cakes in Woodend. The cake was won by Woodend CFA 4th Lieutenant Simon Bailey and his wife Caz. Realising that it may have been a little too large for their appetites they generously decided to donate the cake to the Woodend Aged Care, for their residents to enjoy at morning tea. In fact, they dropped it around that night where it was enthusiastically received by Aged Carer Rene Vroombout, who also happens to be a volunteer at the Woodend CFA. As you can imagine, the beautiful and delicious cake did not make it to lunchtime, and was enjoyed by all. What a fantastic gesture Simon and Caz, well done!
