Yesterday afternoon we attended our 12th Burn Off out of control since the fire restrictions were lifted. This morning we were back on site to finish blacking out. Fortunately some welcome rain finished the job for us. Most of these would have been avoided if people had shown some common sense and taken the right steps to do a bird off. Thanks to assistance from Macedon, Mt Macedon, Hesket, Newham and Tylden brigades. Fingers crossed the change in weather will give us some rest as well.
