Displays when Total Fire Ban in force
We had two more calls to burn-offs out-of-control on Easter Sunday – one near Lancefield and one off Black Forest Drive. That’s a total of 9 turnouts we’ve had since Thursday evening (8 of them going), with a total of over 15 hours work. In fact, many of our volunteers involved have had over 10 hours service, on top of 6 hours collecting for the Good Friday Appeal. If you are going to burn, please make sure you are prepared – clear a safe area around the fire, have plenty of water and equipment on standby, and don’t leave the fire unattended. Hopefully we can have some uninterrupted quality time with our families today.
