Woodend CFA is holding an open day at the fire station in Urquhart Street on Sunday November 10, from 10am to 2pm.
This year we have decided to broaden our horizons beyond just the CFA and have invited other local emergency services to become involved. This means that visitors will get a much broader perspective of first responders and emergency services provided in the Macedon Ranges.
The CFA will be joined by the Woodend SES (who are also opening up their station), Parks Victoria, DELWP and the Macedon Ranges Shire Emergency Management Team.
There will also be a Free BBQ cooking from 11am to 1pm, and also some children’s activities provided.
This is a great opportunity for our community to come and see the impressive facilities at the CFA and SES, and to also meet some of your local volunteers and find out more about what we do.
• Have a look at our fleet of emergency vehicles
• Find out about becoming a CFA and SES volunteer
• Find out about our new CFA Juniors Program for children aged 11 to 16
• Discuss your Fire Plan and Summer Safety for the forthcoming fire season
• And so much more!
