Displays when Total Fire Ban in force
This morning Woodend and Carlsruhe CFA were called to an MVA on the Calder Freeway North Woodend, with a possible person trapped. On arrival a male had managed to get out of the car, while a female was still trapped inside. The SES were called to remove the windscreen to allow access to get her out. Fortunately, both people were checked by paramedics and taken to hospital as a precaution. Woodend CFA remained on scene until the vehicle and freeway were cleared and declared safe.
