While you were likely sleeping last night, crews from across the Macedon Ranges turned out in support of Woodend CFA at a grass fire in Old Lancefield Road in the early hours of the morning – here’s our view arriving on scene just after 12:30am.
Mount Macedon Tanker 1 responded as part of a request from Woodend to ‘make tankers 10’ after initial assessment established that some serious tanker-power would be required – blustery winds were carrying embers and the fire was crowning into trees alongside the road.
