Displays when Total Fire Ban in force
At 7.30 this morning Woodend CFA was called to a Motor Vehicle Crash on the Calder Fwy with a possible person trapped. Woodend Pumper was first on scene and called control of the job, with a badly injured female trapped in one of the cars. They were quickly joined by SES units from Woodend and Gisborne, as well as CFA crews from Kyneton and Carlsruhe, Vic Pol and Ambulance. The scene was secured and crews began the difficult work of getting the person out of the car. The person was eventually taken to hospital and we hope that all is well. Another lesson to take extra care on our roads, especially as we approach the festive season. PHOTOS: BRIAN WILSON
