Santa will once again be visiting towns across the Macedon Ranges this Christmas eve, Friday 24 December, as he has for many years with the help of his friends at the local CFA Brigades. However, this year there will be some changes as to how he will be visiting Woodend.
As the Woodend township is growing, the Woodend CFA is finding it very difficult for him to visit every street and home on our fire truck.
Whilst he will still be visiting every home when he delivers his presents at night with his sleigh and reindeer, we cannot guarantee that we will get to everyone in the short time we have available with Santa on our truck during the afternoon. So, this year we have decided it is best for Santa to travel only on some of the major streets and also to be at specific locations at certain times so that people and families can organise to be there.
If you want to make sure you get to meet Santa he will be stopping at a number of locations around the township where it is safe for people to gather in reasonable numbers. You can find out these times and locations by visiting the Santa page on the following address:
