The lightning strikes yesterday afternoon sparked a very busy time for the Woodend CFA. We were called to six different incidents, several at the same time – so resources and crews were stretched to the limit. The biggest was the very threatening fire at Blackhill Road in Kyneton. Crews did not return until well after midnight. Well done to all volunteers who fought the fires and were on standby. A good reminder that we all need to be prepared and have a fire plan … you never know what will strike and when! Thanks Stew for the photos.
