Even with the mild weather forecast for New Years Eve in some areas, illegal fireworks (and marine flares) can still start fires that can threaten homes and properties.
We encourage everyone to enjoy one of the programmed fireworks displays, that may be in your area and to leave the backyard ones alone – for the sake of people’s pets and local and holidaying residents (and your fire brigade volunteers who want to enjoy their New Years Eve too!!!)
