Displays when Total Fire Ban in force
This morning we were called to a tree on fire. In the weather conditions we wondered on the way what would have started a fire. Our only thought was an electric line down. We were close. It looks as though it was started by an electric dog fence, that shorted and sparked. Even in the wet conditions, the wind helped spread the fire from along the fence line into a tree, that was burning brightly. Well spotted by a passing neighbour. A warning to make sure that any electric fences are fitted correctly, to avoid a similar situation, especially connecting the electric wires directly onto the fence wire. It just goes to show, that even in conditions like this a fire can easily start and spread.
