To the Woodend Fire Brigade,

We would like to take a moment to pass on our community’s sincere gratitude for all your support with the current Benloch Fire. ‘We are one but we are many’ really rings true when you see how many brigades and volunteers were able to come together to our aid. We hope we can do the same for you, but not anytime soon ?

It’s been some really hot, hard, and long days (and nights) for you all. Some of you have taken time out from work and time away from your families to turn out. One question people ask is how do we all get the time to volunteer for the CFA? Truth is, we don’t. We make time. And we want to thank you all for all the times that you ‘made time’ to get you were you were this week.

Thank-you for making time for training and up skilling. Thank-you for making time to support CFA community safety awareness events. Thank-you for making time to do all the background administration, the paperwork, the phone calls and ordering. Thank-you for making time to maintain your station, assets and equipment. Thank-you for the multitude of tasks that led you all to being in a position to help us out this week. Thank-you for having the heart.
