Since mid-October, Coles Woodend have been undertaking a concentrated fund-raising program for the Woodend CFA. This included collection containers at all checkout points, as well as a special Sausage Sizzle on Saturday November 15. So far, Coles have raised a total of $1,560, and will continue to have collection containers at the checkouts up to Christmas … so the total is sure to increase.
Woodend CFA 1st Lieutenant Mike Dornau acknowledged the fantastic community contribution of Coles Woodend and added that “the funds will be well used as part of the brigade’s ongoing equipment and infrastructure upgrades. This help to ensure that we can deliver optimum service not only to the Woodend community, but to the entire Macedon Ranges and beyond”.
