At 7.48am Monday 20th October the Woodend CFA was called to a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) on Calder Freeway just south of the Romsey-Lancefield turnoff. A fully-laden van was hit by a strong wind gust forcing the vehicle to roll and finish on its roof, leaving a long trail of debris and damaged road surface. Fortunately none of the six people on board was badly injured. A good lesson to drive carefully in strong winds.
