Early yesterday afternoon Woodend CFA was called to an MVA on Straws Lane near Hanging Rock. On arrival we found a car on its roof, having hit a tree and flipped in the wet and slippery conditions. No other vehicles were involved and the driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Police were called for traffic control and Ambulance Vic, who took the driver to The Royal Melbourne Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Woodend T1 and T2 remained on scene until a tow truck was able to remove the vehicle. An example of how dangerous our roads can be last any time, let alone in these conditions.
