Displays when Total Fire Ban in force
Recently Woodend CFA members Mike, Mike, David and Andrew visited the Woodend Goodstart early learning centre to deliver the Fire Safe Kids program. A few of the activities that we cover in this program help children to:
- Be familiar with firefighters and their role in the community
- Understand the need to get out, find a safe place and call for help if there is a fire
- Basic actions for extinguishing clothing fires (Stop, drop, roll)
…and the best part for the kids, to give them a chance to climb on-board the truck, see the flashing lights and hear the siren!
