Fire Ready Victoria Meetings |
|
The CFA has started its Fire Ready Victoria Campaign sharing vital messages about basic fire behaviour, how our surroundings affects fire, how to identify risks around our homes and the dangers of bushfires and what they need to do on a high fire risk day.
This year will be significant as it will include the latest information based on the recent Royal Commission, especially in relation to the ‘Stay and Go' policy.
The aim is to reach residents, especially those in high risk areas (Woodend is in the Top 52) and ensure they have ample information from which to make an informed decision in the event of a bush or grassfire and importantly, from a preparedness point of view, be able to identify and reduce their risks prior to the fire danger period.
A few minutes of your time could help save your home ... and more!
We've all heard it before ... ‘it will never happen to me!' ... but it could!
How much is it worth to give you the best possible chance to save your home in a bushfire - or even lives? All we need is a few minutes of your time.
The more you know, the better prepared you will be.
